Downloading MediaCat Price Update Files and Setting Factors

Price file contains regular dealer price only.

• Non-SRR Dealers go to your MediaCat downloads page
• SRR Dealers go to your MediaCat downloads page
• Download the appropriate MediaCat price file by choosing either CDC Dealers Only or BME Dealers Only
• Enter your CDC•BME Dealers Only user name and password
• In the file download window:
  • Choose Save
  • Save the MediaCat download zip file to the My Documents directory folder
  • Minimize all windows until you see the desktop
  • Open My Documents on the Desktop
  • Double-click the saved zip file
  • Choose "I Agree" on the Winzip utility screen
  • Double click the MediaCat price file. This will unzip the price file and open notepad.
  • Choose File
  • Choose Save As
  • Save the price file to the directory of your choice
  • Close Notepad
  • Close Winzip
• Start the MediaCat program.
  • Click Settings
  • Click Import Price List
  • Click Find
  • Choose the Price List file saved from above
  • Click Ok (this process will take 5 to 15 minutes)
  • Click Multiply Prices and choose these options, depending on your Parts Discount **
    • 30% Discount -- set factor to 1.43
    • 40% Discount -- set factor to 1.67
    • 45% Discount -- set factor to 1.82
    • Supplier with Average Price
  • Click OK (this will take 5 to 15 minutes)

   

** NOTE: The prices reflected after you input the appropriate factor may still be one or two pennies off of the price shown in your Price Book.
