Facebook is a Social Utility that connects you (and your business) with the people around you.
Creating a business page allows local consumers to become a "fan" of your site, which in turn gives you an easy way of connecting with potential customers to let them know about your business, the products you sell, and the service you provide.
Over the next few months, we'll be sharing lots of ideas for ways that you can use Facebook to promote your business.
End of Summer Photo Contest:
Since gardens bloom at different times throughout the summer, host a summer-long garden photo contest where people post pictures of their gardens. In August, select the best photos and encourage Facebook fans to vote on the best garden with a prize going to the winner at the end of August. Put up a display in your store advertising the contest and encouraging people to become a Facebook fan and vote.
