Salvaged Trees Find New Home at Branson Regional Airport

LAMPE, MO One of many trees salvaged from the clearing of the Branson Landing have found a home at the Famous Dave’s Restaurant located at the new Branson Regional Airport.

The 42” diameter, over 100 year-old sycamore tree has become a bar top at the new restaurant scheduled to open May 8, 2009.

The Wood Merchant, LLC, owned and operated by Rick and Sue Braun and Shawn Gates, salvaged over 100 trees from the Branson Landing development site in Branson, MO, and have made one of a kind furniture for many individuals and local businesses.

The most notable tree salvaged from the Branson Landing was the “Liberty Tree,” a 200 year old historical marker that was removed due to safety concerns.

Commemorative furnishings made from the Liberty Tree can be seen at the Branson History Museum; White River Valley Historical Society, the currently under renovation Top of the Rock Restaurant, and the Hilton Liberty Tavern, all located in or near Branson, MO.

Additional locations of Liberty Tree furnishings include Euro World Designs and PFI’s Diamond Ridge Market located in Springfield, MO, as well as many individual clients with family ties to the Branson, MO area.

For more information on one of a kind furnishings crafted from salvaged timbers go to www.wood-merchant.com.
